Geobiology

Life and the environment have evolved in parallel. Chemical and Physical processes in the atmosphere, hydrosphere, cryosphere and the lithosphere influence the Life processes. In turn, life processes are known to have indispensably remarkable effect on the chemical and physical processes on Earth. Geobiology is an interdisciplinary scientific field of research that explores interactions between the biosphere and the lithosphere and/or the atmosphere.
